Who can be an Executor?

Who can be an Executor?

Using the Australian Will Kit, you may appoint any adult to be your Executor. The person must be 18 years of age or older.

The person you nominate should be capable (both mentally and physically) of acting on your instructions.

An Executor or Executrix is someone who will carry out the instructions written in your Will, after you die.

With the Australian Will Kit you can appoint more than one Executor, if you want to.

You may appoint a beneficiary to be your Executor if you want to, as long as the person is over 18 years of age.

See the Australian Will Kit for full details.

The Australian Will Kit has a complete section devoted to Who should be Executor. This is well worth reading before you write your Will.
